Prior to Alcon, Forchette was vice president of sales and marketing at Grieshaber & Co., where he led the privately held Swiss company’s domestic operations through major infrastructure and revenue expansion. Grieshaber, which was acquired by Alcon in 1998, remains a significant contributor to Alcon’s successful vitreoretinal portfolio of products. Forchette received a BS in marketing from Auburn University and completed the Harvard Program for Management Development.
Greg Anderson Vice President of Sales

Anderson served previously as vice president of sales and marketing at WaveLight Technologies AG, a German manufacturer of ophthalmic excimer lasers. In this position, he managed the successful U.S. launch of the company’s refractive laser platform, the Allegretto. WaveLight was acquired in 2007 by Alcon.
He also worked for 16 years at Coherent Medical Group, which later merged with Lumenis. While serving as director of North American sales, he was responsible for developing the company’s refractive business unit in the United States. Early in his career, he held a variety of medical and surgical sales positions at companies such as American V. Mueller and Baxter Travenol. Anderson received a BS in marketing from the University of Maryland.

Robert Haddad Vice President of Operations

Prior to Elkin, Haddad was the COO and cofounder of Translucent Photonics where he raised $9 million in venture capital to build a world-class materials science research organization that generated IP for the semiconductor industry. He was previously vice president of operations and product development at Sunrise Technologies and vice president of operations at Iridex. He also worked for Coherent as the director of global corporate services. Haddad received a BS in Industrial Engineering & Management from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Sacramento State University.
George R. Marcellino, Ph.D. Vice President of Clinical Sciences and Global Advocacy

Prior to co-founding OptiMedica, Dr. Marcellino was senior director of research at Lumenis. Before Lumenis, he directed worldwide sales and marketing organizations and headed the clinical research and development efforts at Coherent Medical Group. While in this position, he managed a 100-person sales and marketing team and helped establish many innovative products, including the Novus 2000 Photocoagulator, the Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope and the Laserlink delivery system.
Dr. Marcellino has authored 26 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and two textbook chapters and is an inventor on four patents. He received his BS, MS and PhD in sensory physiology and psychophysics from the City University of New York.

Prior to OptiMedica, Murray spent more than 20 years at Guidant where he held numerous officer-level financial and business development positions. Murray was also previously chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration for Emphasys Medical, an emerging interventional pulmonology company. He began his career at the accounting firms Ernst & Whinney and Main Hurdman. Murray received a BS with emphasis in accounting from San Francisco State University. He is a certified public accountant.
